Serene Swans

Up and out today. Tuesday tends to be my busiest day of the week as it is when most people are in the office, so I’m generally able to catch up with those I need.

We had a lot to get through. With a colleague shortly moving on to pastures new, his roster of clients is being divvied up between myself and another colleague. As I’m sure you will appreciate, I was delighted to be handed a couple where the notes included such gems as “when you go to see them, take a cab from the tube station as someone tried to mug me last time I went” and “this guy is a bit of a misogynist” or “this one, they’re f*****g mental!”

From the sounds of it and at the very least, working life maybe, just maybe, got a little bit more interesting…

It was a heavy few hours, so with the weather being so beautiful, I took a stroll for a little while, eventually finding myself atop the Lune aqueduct where I was delighted to see this couple gliding serenely towards me.

As the thought “mmm, that might make a nice blip” bounced around my head, I remembered that I did have my phone with me and snapped away.

The rest of the afternoon passed quickly with the day finishing up with a lovely roast chicken dinner accompanied by laughter and advice at my parents’ place.
