Lao Garden

Here is a selection of plants growing in the garden of our hotel on Don Daeng Island in southern Laos.

Clockwise from top left they are:
Ylang-ylang (Canangra odorata)
Orchid
Yellow Ixora 
False Bird of Paradise (Heliconia psittacorum)
and in the centre, Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) - said to be the world’s largest tree fruit
