The Beginning and The End Of The Day

At 7am the sky had a smattering of clouds coming out of the south that turned a beautiful pink as the sun peeped over the horizon.

This just happened to be the leading edge of a storm front that slowly engulfed the whole south west.

At 5.30pm the sky was grey and heavy. No sunset rays broke through the thick cloud to give out any colourful display.

Tonight it is raining and the wind has dropped away, it's quite a bit warmer than it has been and I'm enjoying the sound of the rain on the roof.

In other news Jake continues to improve although he is still limping a bit, we'll see how he goes over the next couple of days.

The local council has finally made their first move on the fence at the lake that went down during the storm last week. Almost unbelievably they have haphazardly wrapped that section with yellow and black plastic tape....a really pathetic attempt! Can't wait to see how long it takes to move beyond this temporary measure!
