Bits of a lazy day, clockwise from top left -

A date for the diary, an event at the local library to get a free pair of slippers for elderly people who might be a bit unsure on their feet now ( yep, I’m finally old enough to wear velcro- fastened footwear )

Verbena bonariensis, still in full flower in the park ( but not one bee, they’re disappearing for the winter )

The main thing I’m going to miss when our town centre Marks and Spencer closes in four weeks’ time - reduced items in the food department ( and being born in the 1940s, I’m still amazed that I can buy English strawberries in October )

Sounds of the seaside in the park  ( they seem to be everywhere these days )

But how lucky I am to be able to get out and about whenever I want to.
