Up at even more ridiculous o'clock to head to London for the day. What a mistake that was!

When we got to Bridgend we were then diverted around the Vale of Glamorgan because of overrunning engineering works. It meant we were 35 minutes late getting into Cardiff and of course that didn't get any better. By the time we got to Reading they decided to cancel the train, so they could get it back into sync with the timetable. That meant we had to get off and catch the next available train, which of course was absolutely rammed. By the time I got to Paddington it was peak tube time and the Elizabeth line was very, very busy. I eventually made it into the office around about 9:30am

A couple of meetings, but the rest of the time was prepping for my 2025 budget review with the Exec.

My young padawan sat in on it as she needs to know about this process when she eventually takes over from me.  It went really well and the CFO said I needed to increase my budget by a bit more. I was astounded and so was the CEO and COO. Lol!  A good result.

Had a good conversation with my young padawan, bouncing ideas off each other.

Headed home without any dramas, so I had a good snooze on the way home. I shall have a lie in tomorrow morning me thinks.
