Now you see it...

..then it was all in boxes. What a day! My friend bossed and orgnaised me and made me take all my precious things down off the walls and out of cupboards. i tried hiding things from her but she always found them.

My luxuries are - 3 outdoor candle jars to be used inside too plus several tealights, some colourful plates for entertaining, one box of glasses of varying shape and the picture of Coldstream Bridge and the painting from St Abbs. I have left the pictures up in the sitting room for viewers but the rest is all away. It took about 3 hours to pack my books alone - she wasn't pleased because I refused to throw them out! I was allowed to keep the big red flower you can see - it's silk and will get squashed if it's packed...

We used all the paper, all the bubble wrap and all the boxes - so I've ordered more!
As she and I packed, the boys tackled the grass and got the heavy stuff into the skip.

There is still lots to do but this has been the ruthless help that I needed.

Exhausted we sat down to a well earned G&T in the sun. Aaaaaah!
