A Meandering Life...

Saint James's Church, Birstwith

A church on a hill overlooking the River Nidd. I spotted the possibilities of Blipping this church from way over the other side of the River Nidd valley. The tree stood out as much as the church.

We had a wonder around our loverly area and explored some new parts of the Nidderdale AONB (Area of Natural Beauty) which is a part of the Yorkshire Dales. We past through Ripon, Ripley before heading into the Nidd valley to Birstwith. From there we had coffee and scones at a 'new to us' Farm Shop. Afterwards we headed north to Greenhow Hill, down into Pateley Bridge, up through Lofthouse, Masham and Bedale.

We are so spoilt with the countryside we have around us. The autumn colours haven't quite reached their peak but are getting there.
