Mayfair ghoul

It wanders the night, sucking the life from people unlucky enough to meet it. A bit like everyone else who lives in Mayfair, really, except it's rather better company, and very apologetic about the whole life-sucking thing.

I had quite an interesting conversation with this one, whose name, apparently, is Ethel. We were both of the opinion that the Curzon Mayfair was a very fine cinema let down only by the people of Mayfair, and that in twenty years everyone will agree which of the two Joker films was better and it will not be the first. It – she? – said she was working on the whole inhabitant problem.
