Unintended activity

A trip to the club today. Planned changing of defunct dimmers in the main club room went particularly well and me and my partner electrician thought we were done well before lunchtime. Then came the ‘while you are here can you just……?’
This one turned into a bit of a long job when a brand new allegedly tested bit of kit wouldn’t work. Took a long time to discover deep inside that two terminals were missing the nuts that were supposed to clamp the connecting links to the terminal. When we put nuts on and tightened them down all worked fine.
On the way we discovered this switched socket was cracked and will need replacing. Finally got to have a look at my boat at 3pm……by then it was almost time to come home.
