Autumn beech trees
Some of the remains of the dwindling forest on the riverside down at Fanellan. The expanding quarry is eating it up and after extending the area they have now cleared all the ground up to the new fence. Such a shame to see mature woodland cleared in this way just for river gravels.
It seems that the quarry has been given a limited life, so they are sure making the most of it. Then they’ll likely find a reason to give it an extension.
