Long Shadow

After my small group of women met this afternoon I stopped at the nearby pumpkin patch. I took lots of photos, I picked this one because of the long shadow for the wide Wednesday challenge.   

This area of the farm was probably a Christmas Tree farm that had been depleted except for a few trees. There are many large and small Christmas Tree farms in Oregon; we supply many fresh-cut trees at Christmas time. Growing the trees is profitable in more than one way, they sell the trees, the work involved is minimal, and farmhouses are taxed as farmland, that is a big deal here in Oregon!
