Exotic

The most exotic looking of my three moth orchids, in the kitchen briefly for their weekly soaking.

Another day with absolutely zero oomph.

MrM went off for a day's fishing, while I did very little other than the bare necessities. When he returned, he was keen for me to do another Covid test to establish whether I'm clear to go to jazz this evening. Seemed ridiculously soon, after only 4 days, to test again, especially as I still feel so washed out, but I humoured him. Surprise, surprise, it was positive, though the second red line was much less livid than last time. A shame to miss jazz but we did - it's hardly fair to go and risk spreading Covid to everyone else in the room. Several people who usually go are even more elderly and vulnerable than me.

With that in mind, I had a slightly disconcerting phone conversation this afternoon with someone from the appointments desk at the hospital, enquiring as to whether I'm free for a follow-up appointment at the Stroke Medicine Clinic.
I should be OK to come from the middle of next week, I said, I have Covid at the minute.
If you feel alright you could come now, she said, or words to that effect, and it's up to you whether you want to wear a mask. But I'll leave it to the middle of next week if you prefer...
