Sir Peter Scott at WWT Barnes
As the forecast was good we went to the Wildfowl and Wetland Centre at Barnes this morning. It was so sunny and really quite warm. Only the usual birds on the lakes but nice to see them in sunny conditions.
This is the statue of Sir Peter Scott by the entrance.
I think they have a lack of volunteers after Covid lockdown as some areas look a bit neglected and over grown.
We then went back to Twickenham to the fairly newly opened Megan’s restaurant for lunch as I had a voucher which needed to be used. A very very disappointing and poor value lunch . My husbands was OK but my smashed Avocado was fairly tasteless and the extra bacon was awful…I refused to pay for it. The service was also very poor and a very scruffy manager. We will not be returning!
Back home I went to the allotment to plant the strawberry plants which arrived yesterday….it took ages and I will need to return to complete this.
Tonight I am going to a local talk by a garden designer about various gardening tips.
