P I N K

Today we may be seeing the last of the glorious summer weather we've been having lately. Many areas are suffering thunder, lightning and downpours. We had rain, the tipping-it-down-variety, but thankfully some sunshine too, as I'd planned this gloriously summery shot for my journal. It is pink - gorgeous, glamorous bright pink. This is the 'in' pink of the moment. It's cheerful, uplifting and nowadays, thought of as generous and charitable as well, and although it makes a jolly attractive backdrop to this display of plants and flowers, and provides an inviting shop front, subtle it certainly is not! (But it does contrast well with the lovely blue of the building across the street,).
