Wednesday rollercoaster
A memorable day really. Whatever happens now, today will be remembered as a bit of a dream.
Elbows, MightyMouse and I went to see a house in the Turkey Street area. Within minutes of arriving, we were all utterly smitten. It was exciting and thrilling and boy, we loved it and started imagining ourselves in it. When we’d walked off, we had a coffee, talked and prayed and then put an offer in. It only went on the market this weekend.
And after a few back and forths, we upped our offer and waited. The estate agent called to check and confirm finances, letting us know that there were 3 other viewings this evening. So it was good really to have other things booked in for our day.
We know that although the vendor was very friendly and encouraging, he’ll do whatever he needs to do and we aren’t ready to move just yet. When we chatted, he was very relaxed about timing. He just needed an offer in order to get the mortgage he needs. But with other viewings, there’s a good chance we won’t get it. It’s in the Lords hands. We know that.
I went for a lido swim and relaxed over a distance swim because I needed my head clear to prepare a Bible study. Elbows went off to work.
And then in the evening, we went up to London, to the the Globe Theatre, to see ’A Comedy of Errors’. We had standing tickets and they only cost a tenner. It was brilliantly done and we loved it. We’re a bit jittery but at peace.
