Eat like a local

We are in Rome. I’d never been to Rome, it reminds me a lot of Greece, you know where they don’t finish building things so they don’t have to pay the tax. There is all sorts of unfinished stuff here, that Colosseum thing will look great the they ever get the builders back on site.

Anyway we’ve had a great day, seen a load of stuff which really is incredible and walked miles and miles.

The most amazing thing though was dinner. We are just outside the centre of the city and found a local trattoria for dinner.
The food was amazing, simple but brilliant. The restaurant was noisy, the staff were rushed off their feet but friendly and helpful and they had a dessert of ‘wine doughnuts’. Utterly magnificent!
