…the long journey home via the Pyrenees

watched a beautiful sunset at Huesca

arrived at the French Border near Jaca only to discover the Somport Tunnel was closed

so we had to drive up and over the mountain roads through the Spanish then French Pyrenean ski resorts

a hairy two hour detour on dodgy hairpin bends, poor road surfaces, up and down different mountains, high winds and rain …in the dark in a large van and so high up

finally arrived after midnight at our hotel in Pau
