Connections

Austin Friars was an actual Friary for about 300 years. Then once upon a time it was Thomas Cromwell's home. It has been around since the mid 13th century. Today it was the venue of my company medical. All is well. They were pleased that I took their advice last year and put on a bit of weight... Trouble is they now want me to lose 4lbs. Surely we can say that is approximately right?!

I'm distressed to see paint scuffs on this wall. I assume it is lorry drivers misjudging the tight archway. What a shame though. Something so old and lovely. We are more connected to the characters of our history than we realise. We need to look after these old stones and streets, they should outlast us.
