Those were the Days.
I was sorting through some old photographs today. I was looking for some pictures of family members no longer with us to put up in the lounge. As is the way with boxes of old pictures, memories come flooding back. It's funny how photographs take you right back to the moment in time they were taken. You can even remember the smell and feel of the day.
The one centre eight is Blake, he was an ex steeplechaser, fast, but a nightmare to jump, he jumped flat, so I'm pleased to have got a goodish shot of us. The others are of my beautiful Poppy, an Irish Draught x thoroughbred, who stood at 16.2.
So, although none of these were taken today, the collage has been put together today. I wanted to keep here for my memories. Long gone are the days of flying round a cross country course, but good to look back on and remember it all so vividly!
I'm off out this evening to a fund raising quiz night. A table of six girls .... We're not hopeful of a high score! I think men on the team get more answers (they seem to retain what I call sh*t like that in their brains! lol). But the pre shopping and carvery will be good. It's at a Wyevale garden centre in the next village.
