Baby

I've been doing a bit of hacking (riding) around the local bridle ways when I can and today I was lucky enough to be out on the 'baby' of the yard. I say 'baby, he's seven, so old enough to know what he's doing. He's also 18hh* so not really a 'baby' in any sense. He was a sweetie and it was a good ride out, with a minor bit of excitement when confronted with a big, open field to canter in.

I had a little go at running when got back, sadly my achilles is still sore so I've had to  postpone a long awaited blip meet tomorrow. It's my own fault, I should have taken last week off really. Hopefully another week will do it.

Himself has gone out to a gig with an old schoolfriend tonight so I've got my second night with the TV remote in a week. 

*Horses are measure in 'hands', to the highest point of their withers (shoulder). 
1hh = 4". 18hh = 72" = 6ft.
