Bodiam castle

After a good breakfast, we first set out for a 11 km hike in the Hastings country park nature reserve. Unfortunately we got beaten by copious amounts of mud, making the slopes very slippery. So we only did a 5 km loop. We did go down to the beach to wash some of the mud of our boots. We admired the fishing boats on the shingle beach (see extra).

In the afternoon we visited Bodiam Castle. We had a lovely tour on the history of the castle (dating back to the 1300’s!). Very photogenetic too!
