Crab Apple?

It was a misty, grey start to the day.  I took this photo in a local lane on my walk into town this morning.  I think it might be a crab apple perhaps.  It sort of summed up the weather conditions at the time.

The sun came out after lunch and it was fairly mild.  So, although the grass was still rather wet, it's possible it might rain tomorrow so I took the opportunity to mow the lawns.  I also trimmed up my standard Ceanothus, and did some general garden tidying.

M has gone down with a cold and (he would be the first to admit it) he's not a great patient.  He's had a quiet day, watched some old films and I've been plying him with comfort food.  I do hope he feels a little better tomorrow.
