Window Walkabout: Tin Plate Angels In Modern Times

I started work at at home and went to the office at noon. Hubby picked me in the afternoon and we had wonderful start to the weekend by having a lovely dinner in the beautiful restaurant Heinätori. Then we had a walk and went to see some Window Walkabout installations and performances. In the picture is a window performance called Tin Plate Angels In Modern Times.

Tampere Theatre actor Arttu Soilumo was seen in the window of Galleria Nykyaika creating and dismantling genders. The old public toilets in Tampere were called Peltienkelit (Tin Plate Angels). They were popular meeting places for gay men. They once created gender behavior that deviated from the norm.
