Stormy Weather

We packed our bags and after breakfast, picked up my brother-in-law (Edward) and then set off for a day trip to Carmona, a beautiful town about 40 minutes drive from Seville. We explored the town and enjoyed a second breakfast/brunch in the local Parador. It was cloudy in the morning and the forecast was for afternoon sunshine but instead the heavens opened up and we had our second day of rain in Spain.
Edward was hankering after a Chinese meal so we went to a Chinese restaurant for a late lunch. Suffice to say that it’ll be the last Chinese meal I have in Spain!
We said our goodbyes to Edward (our friend Francisco joined us and drove him home) and then set off to the town where we’re breaking our journey back to Valencia. We were half way there when we realised that Edward had left his house keys in our car, so we (I say we but Mr P does all of the driving in Spain) had to drive back to Carmona in the torrential rain to return them to him.
We finally got to our hotel after driving through a massive storm. We hadn’t anticipated how high up in the hills we are. We only packed our summer gear and it’s going to be rather chilly here tomorrow morning. I don’t think we’ll be doing too much sightseeing!
