It's the gospel truth
This was until very recently the site of the Chobham Gospel Hall. I have posted a picture of it before - a rather unloved little building with a corrugated iron roof that had clearly seen better days. I have no idea when it was last used as a place of worship but it seemed very unlikely that it could ever be replaced by a habitable building. Thus, it was with some disbelief that I heard it had been knocked down and there were plans on display for a house to be built on the site. But sure enough, it has gone and there is a notice posted just by the no entry barrier inviting people to follow the development of the site on Instagram. The same notice included drawings of the front and side elevations of the house that will eventually be squeezed into this space. The site is tiny - narrow and no more than 30-40 metres in length, so I shall watch the development with interest - but, as I'm not a subscribers, not on Instagram!
