Warming!

It was a chilly 7 degrees in the water today … but great!
Leslie n Tine had booked tickets for the doggy day at the Lido but they turned up near the end of our swim. Unsurprisingly, Tilly didn’t like it with all the other dogs around and Merlin isn’t keen anyway. Then to top it off, they were not allowed to go in with the dogs because it was below 10 degrees. Haha! So, they joined us in the water in our usual spot.
It was lovely, and so many red and golden leaves swirled around me in the velvety black water that I couldn’t tear myself away and ended up staying in too long. I had got to the point of being very comfortable, almost warm! No problems, just very big shivers once at the cafe. I
It was odd that I didn’t get shivery in the water as I normally do.

This afternoon Cathie n I walked the dogs at Grassington and enjoyed a coffee by the fire in the pub. The fire was lit. I just couldn’t get a photo of it when a warming orange flame licked round the front of the log. Ha! I gave up!
