2024 Wednesday — A Gift

DiStasio’s is one of our favorite restaurants. About once a month, maybe every three weeks, we stop there for dinner. Italian is our favorite type of food. Probably a year ago we met Dee our favorite DiStasio’s waitress.

The first night we met her we learned Dee grew-up in the SoCal community where we’ve lived our lives until moving to California’s Central Coast. From that evening on she has been our favorite server.

Today we made a fairly quick shopping trip into SLO (San Luis Obispo) to get medicine at Costco pharmacy for our pups.Then a fast dash thru Trader Joe’s; a stop into Kohl’s to look at and possibly purchase bathroom rugs for both of our bathrooms. Well, that put us close to the See’s Candy store. We stop there occasionally; it’s a great place to get gifts for others. I told Mr. Fun I wanted to buy a small gift box for Dee. So that’s what we did and stopped in Morro Bay at the restaurant on our way to Cayucos. I ran in, asked for Dee, and gave her our gift to her. I told her there was a time in my life when I couldn’t afford to give gifts and that I find it enjoyable to gift people with fun stuff. I told her to just eat one chocolate a day, maybe in the morning with her cup of coffee.

And that was Wednesday!
