Large Border

Two Addenbrookes appointments this morning, both at the same clinic, but two hours apart, so we were in the clinic for three and a half hours. The first one took only about forty-five minutes, but we still had to wait in turn for our second appointment; my husband complained about the ludicrously of making the appointments this way.  When I made the original appointment, I asked for a mid-morning one, which was 10.50am, then someone decided to add in one at 8.50am. It was a foggy morning and I had to wait for it to get light before I could drive. The traffic was very light as it was a Friday and the private schools had started their half-term so we were not late.

The gardeners came today and today’s picture is of one section of the border at the top end of the orchard and an area they did not work on today. They did a great job clearing the French drain at the front, which we knew would much of the day. Hopefully there will be plenty of dry days over the winter to get this one back into shape.

The temperature at noon today was seventeen degrees Celsius.
