Spotted the culprit behind all those perfect circles cut out of my rosebush leaves - the leaf cutter bee. Here she is 'red-handed' just having a rest before she rolled it up like a cigar and flew off to stick it in a wall somewhere and lay her eggs.
This is one 'pest' I don't mind. The sparrows on the otherhand are in the dog house for stripping our coriander just before we were due to harvest it.

Thunderstorms started the day and are now ending it too. The gentle drip drip of the roof leaking!
