Nearly there
‘Our’ Rowan tree came down in October 2019 - blip here.
In truth it was our neighbour’s tree and it was gradually leaning forward over our front garden. During lockdown when garden centres remained open, we bought a replacement but planted it in the corner of the garden.
It’s doing OK though after lots of blossom in the spring it doesn't seem to get the same proportion of berries (there are some to the right )
It does however get a brief spell of lovely autumn colour. I’ve been taking a photo every day this week as the colour gradually gets better and before they all fall! I like watching it’s life cycle.
In fairness I think it would be doing better if there wasn’t a huge Laurel behind it. It’s not ours. It belongs to the same neighbour but this bit has spread over to it our other neighbour to the front. Complicated but I would be delighted to see at least some of it go as it also impedes some of our view.
Lovely and warm today. A load of washing out this morning and I’ve been out doing some more garden tidying. Just a short burst in one of the back garden beds.
Leaves are starting to come down but Chris is hoping to get another cut of the grass at the end of the week and that will deal with some of them before I have to start on some serious raking!
