Colours after the storm

We knew we were set for thunder, lightning and heavy rain today. It was forecast for this afternoon but at about 10 o'clock this morning it got so dark, the heavens opened and the thunder and lightning kicked off. Jen got caught in it but the combination of a big brollie and it still being and warm despite the rain meant it wasn't too bad. The rain lasted over 2 hours in the end!

I was heading out at lunchtime to do some present shopping (Jen's birthday on Sunday and our anniversary a week on Thursday). With the wet ground all the colours around me were really popping out. A successful trip and everyone I met was very friendly which always helps!
