ALMOST "PINKED OUT" ON SILLY SATURDAY!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We are being very quiet today because Mrs. HCB isn’t feeling too good!

We knew she was feeling “off colour” because she put her pink bedsocks on last night and that’s always a sign that she isn’t feeling quite right.  You can see we managed to take a photograph and it’s at the bottom of the collage.  She obviously had “hot feet” so she stuck them out from underneath the duvet - how silly is that?  Admirer would have giggled if she had seen this.

She slept for a long time and didn’t get up until almost 10 o’clock this morning, but when she came downstairs, she was soon fast asleep again in her chair.  Sometimes just sleeping when you don’t feel well is a good idea, as we all know.

Mr. HCB, meanwhile, went out into the garden and was busy cutting lots of plants down again, so Mrs. HCB just slept and slept while Mr. HCB just worked and worked.

We were quite excited because we found a tin that said “Cadbury’s Biscuits” on the lid, so imagine our dismay and surprise when we opened it to find lots of little badges in the shape of pink ribbons!  Ah, we thought, these are very like the ribbons we are all wearing - and true enough, Mrs HCB had been given them by a friend called Nicky from the Slimming World class she went to yesterday.  Nicky said she used to do a lot of fundraising for BCAM, but as she no longer does it, she thought Mrs HCB would like the merchandise.  So kind of Nicky, but we were very disappointed so will have to go searching for biscuits or chocolate again this afternoon!  There were also some pink packs of mini nail files, but unfortunately, we can't eat them either!

If you look carefully, you may be able to see some keyrings with what looks suspiciously like a woman’s undergarment on them - and of course, when we saw them, then we realised that all of this was in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  We heard Mrs. HCB telling Mr. HCB last night that they would send a donation and this is obviously why!  I can’t see Mr. HCB putting his keys on a keyring like this though, can you?  

If anyone would like a keyring, then do contact Mrs. HCB and I’m sure she will send you one - for a small donation to the good cause!
