The Routin Brig

After torrential rain this morning, I visited the scene of yesterday's blip to see how much the water level had risen. Suffice to say that Luke would not have been clambering under the bridge today...

I took a photo of some 200 year old graffiti which not many people know about. I like to imagine young people down by the river on a hot summer's day, carving away at the rock with their pocketknives. Some have added their profession - Jardine the joiner, Compton the miller, and an engineer as well.
