Christian Wedding

Wedding Day 1 of 3

The Christian ceremony was at the church, with many similarities to weddings I’ve been to in the states. The exception was the Urdu translator and the guests’ traditional clothes. A reception in the lawn followed, with a 3 tiered cake and samosas made by a vendor brought in from the groom’s hometown, two hours away. It was the same shop where his family frequently ate during his growing up years. The bride’s father was able to come from the United States. He said the long journey to Pakistan was more than worth it.
