December 1991 12 million cubic metres fell off the top pf the peak sliding down to onto the glacier causing seismic monitoring to register a 3.9 quake and besides 10 metres coming off the top it was left with three peaks.


We made it to Ashburton before the rain started which became constantly heavy.

This was our last day with my niece and her husband as they stayed with his cousin till Monday when they start the flights home.
