That Will Do!

I didn't take many photos today, we were busy at a 'Come and Sing' in aid of the Soko Fund, which raises money to support the education of girls in Malawi.

Conducted by John Kitchen, we rehearsed in the afternoon and performed in the early evening, a super programme of two well-known pieces, Vivaldi's Gloria and Faure's Requiem.

The soloists were young and talented,  drawn from local choirs or soloists in their own right; we were accompanied by another well-known organist, Morley Whitehead, seen here relaxing during our coffee break.

Between rehearsal and performance we went outside for some fresh air, admiring the several Hallowe'en displays on the steps of NewTown houses: at the end we left in pouring rain.

Now home with happy memories and pleased to have performed with strangers who came from different choirs both local and from several miles away. And all for a very good cause.
