Ride

My challenge this weekend was a 40km ride on my bike. Well, the weather was excellent (18°C is just a bit cold for me), the wind was okay. So, after I had my morning walk with Caspar of 8.4km, I chose the afternoon to take my bicycle and give it a try.
I cycled 52.4km, with an average speed of 18.2km/h. Also a maximum of 52km/h, according to my speedo, going downhill from the last hill of the Odenwald before I reached the Rhine-valley. On top of that hill stands one of the two large wind turbines of Ober-Ramstadt, visible from far.

In Darmstadt I met the oldest son with his little family. We had a nice meet up, they had even brought me a take-away coffee!

After supper my body told me I needed a nap. Obviously the day had been tiring. Grandpa is getting older.
