Perfect Beginning

We arrived in Cuenca early in the morning, about 2 am. We slept a few hours at our B&B and then traipsed off to explore the old city - our new home. It was love at first sight. The clean cobblestone streets, old Spanish well-preserved colonial architecture, grand cathedrals towers within every view, storefront bakeries that perfume the air with fresh goodies, colorful flower markets and beautiful Cuencanas smiling through their daily activities - all encased by the glorious Andes Mountains-- felt ever so perfect.
