Oystercatcher

Late afternoon and I hadn't taken a photo for today so quickly popped down to the beach for a blip.  The tide was going out and there were just a couple of birds at the water's edge - a gull and this oystercatcher, Haematopus ostralegus.

Back on the computer, nothing looked very exciting so I had to spice one up just a wee bit (original in 'Extra').
