Whilst on holiday and walking on the mudflats last Monday I received a phone call offering me a CT scan appointment; my consultant had referred me the previous week. We agreed on Sunday evening as it suited me best, being away. So, here I was 7.20pm on a wet evening; and a textbook experience from reception to discharge. The clinic was operating from a large mobile unit, in place to address backlog and ongoing referrals. It was going to Aberdeen next. A third new scanner is being installed here for commission this year. Thankyou NHS Scotland.
