I forget which recent Blip post reminded me that using Portrait Mode with the Stage Lighting effect on an iPhone can create some interesting images.
Lucky me, I remembered to make a photo before I stuck my fork into this array of deliciousness. You’re supposed to admire the lighting, but, folks, that cake is pretty swell.

I dug around in the garden this morning, planted out some lettuce and broccoli rabe, and generally puttered around for awhile in the perfect weather—not too hot, not too cold: just right!  I then tried out the new cushion on the wicker chaise; it works quite well to support a napping person, enhances the sweet muttering of the local birds, and is positioned to catch the occasional breeze: a worthwhile purchase.
