Stuck in the lift (almost)

A thundery walk in torrential rain and an early nap for Jacob, followed by a change of clothes.

Dropped Henny off for her play date with Corran and jumped on a bus to John Lewis. Lovely lunch (of tuna sandwiches and coffee all round), with excellent chat, wonderfully behaved babies, wild lambs, Mantha the horse, and squeezing into a potentially stuck lift (cue Rowley dramatics!). Thank goodness for the monthly board meeting to keep me sane. Being able to share doubts, bounce ideas, laugh at embarrassments and enjoy the good times. Thank you ladies, I couldn't do this job without you.

A lovely visit from Claire this evening. Jacob demanded that she fed him his dinner and gave him his bath. Good wine, good chat, good times.
