The ice cream incident

We've had the joiner in this week doing floors and doors (which always reminds me of "tits and teeth"), so we've been trying to get out the house early and come back late, to leave him to it.
The big plan today was to soak up some sun and fun in Stonehaven - the park, a picnic, icecream from Aunt Bettys, on the beach with a ball, sandcastles, then a swim in the heated outdoor pool.
Well, we got to the park. Then the heavens opened. Then we had the picnic in the car and decided to drive home! Well, we stopped off at the pool at Aberdeen beach (indoor) - first time Amelie's been - I was surprised how much she loved the rapids and wave machine! Then an icecream on the beach front - up until Amelie dropped the last inch of cone. I saw 5 seagulls sweep down immediately - told Diane to step back, and we watched them fight over it. I thought it was all quite funny. Amelie didn't! I very nearly had to spend the next 3 hours hunting down every seagull in the Deen until I found and punished the culprit!
Diane wants me to point out she has swimming hair in this blip! That is all.
