Sgwarnog: In the Field

Boars

My gas woes were resolved in time for me to get out to the football. The engineer that came out didn’t find anything wrong, but serviced the boiler and fitted a new CO alarm. I do have a very old boiler but am in one of those ‘stuck’ places where I feel like I really ought to be moving beyond gas, but where the alternatives are not settled enough for it to be a simple swap out.

At the football Bradford City were largely outplayed by Doncaster Rovers and were lucky to make it to half-time goalless. Two second half goals for Rovers looked to have taken the game beyond City.  In a late rally, possibly aided by a mass substitution of five players, City got one goal back and pressed for an equaliser, but that didn’t come. 1-2 the final score and on this basis Doncaster are a much better bet for an automatic promotion place.

One of the banners got an outing in the lower kop at kick off. At my angle I don’t thing the graphic is that clear, but it is an image of the fabled Bradford Boar.
