Flood

This is the park that Daftie and I usually walk across in the morning.  Today we would have needed a canoe, after a month's worth of rain fell in less than an hour last night.

The whole Gulf of Saint Tropez was hammered by 24 hours of storms, with towns all around the bay being inundated with flood water.  The entire coastline was affected as storms bubbled up over the Med. and drove north on to the coast of south-east France.  The streets of Saint Tropez were turned into rivers in spate as water ran off the hillside to flood the port area.  Fortunately, our apartment is on the second floor, and right on the beach, so we avoided the worst of the flooding.  But poor Daftie was demented with the endless thunder and lightning.
