Conker tree in mono

Today's back blip of the conker tree is in Ilford HP5 800 mode. The extra is the same but in colour. I'm not sure if it works in mono or not - I'm never sure in fact...

Both are from the same original raw file, and have been processed the same but the mono version went through the film filter on the way to GIMP and the colour didn't. There are very few leaves left on it now and they are also mostly curled up and have very little visible colour from the distance I took the picture.

After lunch I went to the local IT club to help people with computer problems and improve my French. I'm not sure how successful the afternoon was but I think it's a good use of my day off.
