End of an Era
SUNDAY
I managed to sleep for a solid seven and a half hours which was partly due to the clocks changing from British Summer Time to GMT.
It was a lovely sunny start to the day, and after breakfast, I spent a couple of hours in the garden, trimming back the last of the lavender and planting some new young plants. A little robin kept me company throughout.
I’d been invited to a bowls match in Rhyl this afternoon, but I decided to give that a miss and instead took a quiet walk around the village with a stop off at the church and also took this photo in the field next to our road.
Now, I’m listening to the final Johnnie Walker’s Sounds of the Seventies on BBC Radio 2. Sadly, after 50 years, Johnnie’s retiring due to health issues. His final show features the music of David Bowie—a fitting tribute, as Bowie was a big part of my own teenage years.
Sundays won’t be the same without Johnnie’s music.
It's now raining and, at 4:30 pm, dusk is falling.
