Listen To The Band

Well, the cast have been rehearsing for months, but today is the first chance for the crew to get to grips with the scenery and props. We only managed a run through of Act 1 before we had to break off for the Band Call. Again, this is the first chance for the band to play through the numbers and for the cast to have a go at singing along to the full orchestra.
When Band Call is over we will then have a full Tech Rehearsal, mostly in costume. Usually the Tech is a very stop/start affair as we all get to grips with scene changes and lighting plots. I have known them drag on until the early hours of the following morning before now, but the Town Hall have given us a strict curfew of 10pm, so anything not sorted by them will have to be worked through in tomorrow’s Dress Rehearsal.
I sense that tempers could be a little frayed before the evening is out…
