Homeward Bound
A long but good flight home. The plane was only half full so there was lots of empty space in our cabin; we could have moved around if we'd wanted to but were happy where we were. The flight was around nine hours and landed at 5pm but, with the clock change last night, that is the equivalent of 10.30pm in Delhi. We're staying overnight at a hotel near Heathrow tonight and will head home in the morning.
I got this shot of a life-sized elephant sculpture in Delhi airport this morning. We did see elephants in India but they were being used for tourist rides up to the Amber Fort at Jaipur which I didn't like seeing, so I didn't photograph them. You'll have to make do with brass ones.
Because it was a daytime flight we both tried to stay awake during the flight and watched lots of TV instead. I think we'll be having a quick drink in the hotel bar followed by an early night.
