Up for a 2am pick up - coach to Keflavik - checked in and breakfast then boarded plane for flight home. Very windy weather. Landed and prompt passport checks and baggage then drove home. Lots of traffic due to breakdown and start of half term for many. Lunch and had a few hours downtime, then had to drive to Cambridge through traffic again to park up in our 'secret' spot - free parking and five minutes walk from King's College. Met friend from my Poly days over 40 years ago. My son was with me too. Food and a pint in the Eagle, then to Corn Exchange for Public Service Broadcasting. Wonderful gig. Had to detour via Welney as road was closed. Home after 12, which meant nearly 48 hours without a decent sleep.
